COVID-19 : Nigeria Reaches 174 Confirmed Cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 23 new cases of coronavirus in the country on Wednesday, taking the total number of infections to 174.

According to the NCDC, 9  in Lagos, 7 in the Federal Capital Territory – Abuja, 5 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Kaduna and 1 in Bauchi.

Information from the NCDC shows that as of 08:00 pm on April 1, 2020, Lagos had the highest number of cases with 91, followed by the FCT with 35 cases. The number of cases in Osun surged to fourteen, Oyo had eight, Akwa Ibom had five, Ogun, Edo and Kaduna each had four, Bauchi had three while Ekiti and Enugu states each had two cases. Two states – Rivers and Benue – each had one case.

Of the 174 cases confirmed in the country, two death has been recorded.
